The Wallowa River offers some of the areas finest Rainbow Trout fly fishing. We offer daily fishing excursions from Joseph, OR beginning in June and running into September depending on the river conditions. This is the perfect day for experienced and beginners alike. Our guides are all experienced with guiding/teaching all ability levels. All of our day trips will include snacks, drinks, lunch if appropriate, rods, wading gear and a guide who knows the river like the back of his hand. All that you are responsible for bringing is an Oregon fishing license, flies, and your personal items. You can expect to be floating/fishing for 5 hours during the day. Call or email us today to schedule your day of fishing on the Wallowa River.
Have you ever experienced the swarm of a Stonefly Hatch? If you have you know how exciting it is to fish, and if you haven't you need to call us. Every June the Stoneflies begin to work their way up the Grande Ronde River. By the 3rd week in June they are in the Wild and Scenic stretch between Minam and Troy. This is when you need to be here. This year we are offering two 4 day Stonefly expeditions. Call or email us to make your reservation today.
2010 Stonefly Launch Dates: June 18th, June 25th
Price:$2,800.00 2 anglers
The Grande Ronde River in Northeast Oregon offers a truly unique Steelhead fishing experience. The river boasts a healthy population of 24" to 36" fish along with 35 miles of roadless river with float access only. This is an incredibly beautiful stretch of Wild and Scenic River that has very little pressure from fishermen. During October and November we offer 5 day fishing adventures where we will have very little competition for runs, do to the remoteness of this stretch of river. On this river the scenery is only outdone by the site of a native steelhead taking a dryfly at dusk. We will begin our adventure in Minam, Oregon where the Minam and Wallowa rivers join, and end our trip in Troy, Oregon.
Fall 2010 Launch Dates: October 21st, October 28th, November 4th
Price:$3,500.00 2 anglers
If you are only in the area for a short time but still interested in a Steelhead Fishing excursion join us for a day trip. We can either meet you in Troy, OR on the Grande Ronde or in Joseph to begin your day of guided steelheading. We have found that walk wading is a much more successful way to fish the waters of the Grande Ronde. Our guides will show you the local runs and techniques. These Steelhead are famous for their willingness to come to surface and taking your skating dry. We offer these trips in October through March, call or email us today to schedule your day of fishing.
Price:$385.00 1 or 2 anglers per day
The Grande Ronde has become a premier Smallmouth Bassin' destination. The clear waters allow you to see the fish come out of the depths to strike your offering. This is one of the more exhilarating days of fishing that one can find on the rivers of the West. Whether you are a fly fisherman or a spin caster you will have a ball pulling in one bass after another on the Grande Ronde. These trips are 3 or 4 days beginning at Boggans Oasis and ending at Hellar Bar at the confluence of the Snake River and the Grande Ronde. If you are short of time ask about our Smallmouth Bassin' day trip.
Like all of our river expeditions, these fishing expeditions are all inclusive once you arrive in Joseph. All of our Grande Ronde fishing trips are operated with 2 fishermen and 1 guide per boat with a maximum of 6 fishermen per trip. We have a gear boat and boatman who will take care of all food and camp logistics, so that all you have to do is focus on landing "The Big One". We pride ourselves on providing a very comfortable and memorable experience on the river. All you have to do is show up with your sleeping bag and get ready to have a great time on the river!
Hell’s Canyon of the Snake River, the deepest canyon in North America, is an incredible and unique fishery. A cast may bring in a smallmouth bass, rainbow trout, or channel catfish. Remarkably, all these species live in the Snake River along with steelhead (ocean-run rainbow trout) and huge white sturgeon, which can reach 10 feet or more in length. Along with fantastic fishing, Hell’s Canyon offers dramatic scenery, from the snow capped peaks above to the desert canyon. Due to the fact that the water is released from the bottom of the Hell's Canyon Dam, water temperatures remain constant throughout the summer providing perfect habitat for fish to thrive.
Fish are healthy, powerful, and aggressive feeders throughout the day providing top water and sub-surface action for light tackle and fly fishing techniques alike.
We offer two types of trips in Hell's Canyon for the outdoor enthusiast: the Summer Fishing Bonanza and the Fall Cast and Blast. Both adventures begin at Hell's Canyon Dam and end at either Pittsburgh Landing or Dug Bar.
The "Summer Fishing Bonanza" says it all! This is a 4 or 5 day trip led by first-class guides spent running whitewater and fishing for a variety of species in the clear waters of the Snake. These expeditions are great family adventures or reserve the entire trip for you and a group of friends.
While clients and guides enjoy fishing on the river, the gear boat heads to camp to ensure a comfortable camp ready upon arrival. Once in camp, cool beverages and gourmet food will be provided, as well as opportunities to continue fishing, take a cool dip in the river or go for a hike up one of the many side canyons. These adventures will be offered August through September.
Species of the area include Rainbow Trout, Smallmouth Bass, Pacific Steelhead, Sturgeon, and Carp.
This is an adventure for all of you bird hunters out there! This 5 day expedition will take you through Hell’s Canyon fishing for Steelhead and hunting for Chukars. The river corridor is flush with Chukars. We fish our way to camp where we then hit the hillsides in search of Chukars. We hunt in areas only accessible from the river. You will be hunting over our guides well trained dogs. Let us know if you would like to bring your own dog. This sportsman's adventure will be offered during the month of October. Please contact us to reserve your dates.
