Grande Ronde Steelhead fly fishing We offer 2 choices for our Steelhead expeditions on the designated Wild and Scenic waters of the Grande Ronde River in Oregon between Minam and Troy, Oregon: fully guided or supported.

The fully guided expedition is an all-inclusive trip featuring our our fly fishing guides who will put you in the right spot to catch a Steelhead on a fly. The supported expedition is the choice trip for the experienced angler who wishes to self-guide and is popular among the anglers running the single-person cat.

On both trips, leave all of the camp logistics to us while you and your friends enjoy fly fishing for steelhead. After a long day on the water the last thing you want to worry about is cooking dinner and getting warm and dry. Let us row those heavy gear boats through the low fall flows on the Grande Ronde, while you easily navigate the shallow waters in your light-weight crafts.

For both trips, Each day begins with a delicious breakfast served by our guides. After breakfast you will have the freedom to casually fly fish your way down river with a gourmet sack lunch prepared for you that morning. While you are pulling in "The Big One" our guides will transport camp down to that evening's location. You will arrive in camp each evening with a heated wall tent and a delicious hot meal waiting for you.

Locally raised pork The Grande Ronde is a healthy steelhead fishery and the Wild and Scenic Section is only accessible by float boat. On these expeditions, we will float from Minam, OR to the Wildcat Bridge take-out. This gives us about 38 miles of wilderness Steelhead water, which is best fished in at least 5 days. There is no day access on this Wild and Scenic section of river. Group sizes are typically 4 to 8 anglers.

Both of these expeditions are designed for the angler who understands the value of time: with short daylight hours, you want every minute available for catching "The Big One." Contact us and we can make this happen.
