The Whitewater Veterinary Dentistry Continuing Education expedition will be guided by the Winding Waters Crew and your instructor will be John Koehm D.V.M.,F.A.V.D of the Community Animal Hospital. This adventure will take place on a 5 day whitewater rafting trip on the Snake River in Hells Canyon on the Idaho/Oregon Border, June 23rd to June 28th. Each day we will ride the spectacular rapids in rafts and inflatable kayaks. We will have the opportunity to observe the beautiful scenery of Hells Canyon and the plentiful wildlife that resides there. Each night we will camp in a deluxe riverside camp and eat a gourmet meal provided by the guides. At nightfall John will provide Power Point presentations entitled "Periodontal Disease", "Dental Radiography", "Extractions", "Oral Problems Presented at Emergency Exam", and "Growing Your Dental Practice". This agenda is currently approved by AAVSB-RACE for 5 CE credit hours. This will be a wonderful opportunity to combine continuing education with a great vacation for the entire family.

This adventure will begin in Joseph, OR the evening June 23rd at the Chandlers Inn Bed and Breakfast, where lodging is included in the price of your trip. We will have a pre-trip meeting this evening and then you are on your own for dinner. After Breakfast on the 24th we will depart in the WWRE van by 7:30am arriving at the river launch site by 10:30am. Lunch will be served riverside today. All meals will be included starting at lunch on the first day and ending with lunch on the last day. After lunch, on the last day June 28th we will end our trip at Dug Bar where the group will be transported back to Joseph by airplane or Jet Boat/Van depending on the group size.
