The much-awaited Salmon Fly (picture upper right) hatch is beginning! They were spotted yesterday (Wednesday, June 13th) 10 miles below Minam at the confluence of the Grande Ronde and Wallowa Rivers. They should be making their way up into the Wallowa River canyon by next week! Nice, warm, sunny temperatures this coming week will help their hatch along nicely.
